I found that some one create his e-book in a very bad quality, and someone puts every page of a book into one PDF files. All these kind of book bring trouble to the reader. So I hope this topic will make things clear.

1. to create an e-book, you must get the picture of the book via DC/scanner. Your picture must big enough to be read easily

2. you can compress the pictures as RAR or ZIP compressed file, then you can use tools, such as Hamana (miyano.s53.xrea.com/) to view it. Of cause, if you do not like to compress, Hamana (miyano.s53.xrea.com/) can view it well too.

3. if you want to convert pictures files into PDF files, please DO NOT convert one picture into one PDF, no app can browse this kind of book easily and you are waste your time and the reader's time

4. you can use jpeg2pdf ([Only Registered Users Can See Links]) or Graphics2pdf ([Only Registered Users Can See Links]) to convert a bundle of picture files into ONE PDF file

5. if you want to split/merge some pdf files, you can try the following
PDFTK Builder ([Only Registered Users Can See Links]) which is a GUI app based on [Only Registered Users Can See Links]]pdftk, pdfsam ([Only Registered Users Can See Links]) or pdfmerge ([Only Registered Users Can See Links])
