View Full Version : Lai zhenxiang's origami in paper and steel

Lai zhenxiang(賴禎祥) was born in Taiwan in 1945. When he was 12 yeasr old, he met an origami bird, on which he spent 3 hours to fold and unfold. Since then, he learned origami by himself for dozens of year.
His origami is not limited to paper, he uses steel net, chopstick in the work too. He combines philosophy, religion and physics in his works. You can find a strong Chinese style in some of his works.

mấy mẫu này tui có thấy trên 1 trang của TQ.
Có nhiều mẫu khác cũng rất đẹp, đặc biệt là mẫu xếp có hồn vô cùng

hix, k ngờ có cả gallery ông này ở đây, mẫu xếp cực chất, vừa mang chất thiền như những mẫu phật của Hoyjo, đồng thời cũng như 1 eric thứ 2 của châu Á..

the quality of the paper for these models are so high that it is almost impossible to get it anywhere.

Never heard about this artist before, but for sure they're all amazing ;). Very artistic. Just my opinion, several models look similar. (such as "model","to think", and "maid")

Yes never heard of this artist earlier...
and I agree there has been lot of similarities particularly most of the faces look very much alike...

Though not a pure origami.. these are superb creations!!!
